About Me

Hi, I’m Karrie Christen — creator of Midlife Underground and host of the podcast Midlife Underground.

I spent decades building multiple successful businesses, raising an amazing son, and doing everything I thought I was supposed to do. From the outside, it looked like I had created a great life — and in so many ways, I really had done that.

But... as I approached 50, I started to feel disconnected from all of it.

The roles, the achievements, the routines — even the part of me that had spent decades holding it all together for everyone else — they no longer felt like me.

They were chapters I was proud of, chapters I loved… but I knew they weren’t the whole story; I just didn't understand that yet.

At one point, my mom told me I was starting my “midlife crisis.”
But I had no intention of doing midlife the way my mom did it.

The real crisis only happens when we don’t follow the call to become who we’re meant to be — once we’re finally able to focus on ourselves.

Something deeper was calling.


I didn’t need a breakdown — I needed a breakthrough.

And when I turned 50, the message came through loud and clear:

That’s why I created Midlife Underground — to connect with women like me who’ve done it all, handled it all, and are finally shifting the focus back to ourselves.

Not because we’re lost — but because we’re finally ready to enjoy the hell out of this next chapter.

For women who instinctively know the next 20+ years can be, and — with the right tribe — WILL be, the best years of our lives.

I’m pulling together people I want to learn from, people who inspire me, and women I simply love being around — strong, soulful, radiant women who light the world up.

Question 1: Is it free to join the Midlife Underground Tribe?

Hell yes it is! When you join the tribe and also subscribe the the podcast on YouTube you will get the Underground Memo twice a week which is basically the "Cliff Notes" for the best 20+ years of your life. Question 2: Do I need to join the paid membership?

Not at all! The backstage pass is designed to get you into private rooms with our guests for the chance to ask your own questions and get the extras they just didn't have time to talk about while in the podcast interview. With the backstage pass you also get all the recording from those sessions and any special downloadable things our sponsors decide to share during their backstage session.

It is coming soon - I am just trying to navigate my time since I am still running several businesses but this is my goal to offer this as soon as possible. This will include all the modalities I used to find the right path for my best 20+ years and I will be coordinating with the people I trust the most in the world to make sure that can be fully included.

Question 6: Who is this for?

It is for women who have created a life for themselves and they are still ready for a shift. Open minded women that are not offended at how someone else sees the world, women who are not offended easily (I swear ladies - it is the Italian in me that no one can see because the polish part of me "blonded" it out), women that are KIND and love other women's light. Women that want a tribe of other like minded women that are from all walks of life but unlimatly want the same thing - more light in the world, more joy, more moments of bliss, more love, more peace in our hearts, more of everything GOOD.

This is not for women that don't love the hell out of other women. It is not for women that are jealous or petty. Not for women who can't cheer on another woman or let her cry on their shoulder. Women who can't see humanity through the differences we all have. Ladies, I am building my tribe too and I want to spend my life and my time with AMAZING Women. I promise that at sometime I will likely offend you, or one of my guest or friends will offend you, but if it doesn't resonate with you then it is not for you and it is NEVER meant to offend you.
